About

Otherworldly Tales was born from a lifelong love of stories, the kind that live in the land, whisper through old stones, and linger long after they’ve been told.

About Me

Michelle

I’m based in the Scottish Grampians, surrounded by forests and rivers, glens and standing stones, fairy knowes and hidden falls. This is a landscape rich with folklore, stories of kelpies, and the Good Folk, of ancient guardians, sacred places, and the quiet magic that still hums beneath the surface of everyday life. Living here, it’s impossible not to feel that the land itself is a storyteller.

I’ve always been a wanderer at heart. A well-travelled wayfarer, drawn to sacred places and mythic landscapes, I’ve spent years walking old paths, enjoying local legends, and noticing the places where story and soul intertwine. From remote glens to windswept islands, I’m endlessly inspired by the way folklore reflects our inner lives, a mirror for growth, reflection, and continual renewal.

When I’m not writing or creating, you’ll likely find me wandering forest paths, exploring stone circles, visiting fairy glens, or sitting quietly beside a river, listening. Always seeking. Always learning. Always weaving story and place together.

Step Into the Story

Otherworldly Tales brings together my love of Scottish myth and folklore, romantasy, storytelling, and sacred spaces. Through walking tours, blog writing, and stories rooted in place, I invite you to step into landscapes where ancient tales still live, and to explore what they might awaken within you today.

Otherworldly Tales is an invitation to slow down, to wander, and to remember that the world is richer, deeper, and more enchanted than it first appears.

I look forward to having you join me on this journey.
